Hi, I’m Elizabeth, founder and owner of Pisgah Pet Care!

With nearly two decades of hands-on animal care experience, caring for animals has been more than a career—it’s been a lifelong passion. Through fostering, rescue work, professional pet care, and founding two pet care businesses, I’ve had the privilege of caring for dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and medical needs.

Before moving to Asheville, I founded and operated Pawsperous Pet Care in Washington State, where I built lasting relationships with clients by providing dependable, personalized care. After relocating to North Carolina, I founded Pisgah Pet Care to continue doing what I love: giving pet owners peace of mind by providing compassionate, reliable, in-home care they can trust.

Throughout the years, I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies and kittens to shy rescues, senior pets, and those requiring specialized medical care. My experience through fostering and rescue has taught me that every animal is unique, and that patience, consistency, and understanding are just as important as knowledge and skill.

At Pisgah Pet Care, my philosophy is simple: pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home, maintain their familiar routines, and receive care from someone they know and trust. I take the time to get to know every pet as an individual, tailoring each visit to their unique personality, needs, and routine.

As the owner and primary caregiver, I oversee every aspect of Pisgah Pet Care and personally manage each client relationship. My husband, Tyler, works alongside me and helps care for our clients’ pets, allowing us to provide consistent, dependable service while ensuring your pets are always cared for by someone they know and trust. You’ll never have to worry about rotating sitters or unfamiliar faces.

Pisgah Pet Care is bonded and insured, and I am Pet First Aid & CPR certified. I’m also committed to continuing my education through professional development, including Fear Free certification, to ensure every pet receives thoughtful, low-stress, individualized care.

When I’m not caring for clients’ pets, you’ll usually find me exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains with my own dogs, volunteering with local animal rescues, tending my garden, or spending time with my four cats and two dogs.

Whether your pet is an energetic hiking companion, a shy rescue learning to trust, a playful kitten, or a beloved senior who needs a little extra patience and specialized attention, they’ll be cared for with the same love, respect, and dedication I give my own animals.

Hi, I’m Tyler! As Elizabeth’s husband and a member of the Pisgah Pet Care team, I love helping care for the wonderful pets we have the privilege of meeting.

After serving 22 years in the United States Air Force, I retired and now enjoy spending my time outdoors, exploring Western North Carolina, and caring for animals alongside Elizabeth. Whether I’m joining her on pet visits, taking dogs on adventures, or making sure every pet feels safe and comfortable, I take pride in providing the same dependable, compassionate care our clients have come to expect.

When we’re not caring for pets, you’ll usually find us hiking with our dogs, kayaking, traveling, or trying new restaurants around Asheville.
