Meet Elizabeth!

Hi, I’m Elizabeth, founder and owner of Pisgah Pet Care.

My path to professional pet care wasn’t built overnight. It grew through years of fostering animals, working and volunteering with animal rescues, and caring for pets of every age, personality, and ability. Along the way, I served as a Foster Coordinator, Adoption Matchmaker, and Manager of Adoptions & Volunteers, helping countless animals find loving homes. Through those experiences, I realized my favorite part wasn’t simply caring for animals—it was earning their trust. Those years in rescue taught me that every animal has a unique story, and the best care begins with patience, trust, and understanding—not assumptions.

Today, as a Fear Free Certified Professional and Pet CPR & First Aid Certified pet care provider, my goal is to make every visit as calm, individualized, and low-stress as possible. Whether your pet is outgoing or shy, energetic or slowing down with age, I believe they deserve care that respects who they are as an individual.

Pisgah Pet Care was built on the idea that exceptional pet care is about more than checking boxes. It’s about building relationships—with pets and the people who love them. Nothing means more to me than knowing my clients can leave home with confidence, knowing their companions are safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.

Every decision I make is guided by one simple question: “What would I want for my own pets?” If I wouldn’t want it for my own pets, I won’t do it for yours. Every pet deserves to be treated with patience, kindness, respect, and the same level of care I’d expect for my own family.

When I’m not caring for clients’ pets, you’ll usually find me exploring the beautiful trails of Western North Carolina, volunteering with local animal rescues, or spending time with my own four-legged family members.

I look forward to meeting you—and your pets.

Meet Tyler!

Hi, I’m Tyler! I’m Elizabeth’s husband and the other familiar face behind the hands-on care at Pisgah Pet Care. I love getting to know our clients and their animals and helping provide the consistent, personal care that comes from keeping our business intentionally small.

After serving 22 years in the United States Air Force, I retired and now enjoy spending more of my time outdoors, exploring Western North Carolina, and caring for animals alongside Elizabeth. I’ve gone through the same pet care, safety, and Fear Free coursework with her, so I understand and support the low-stress, compassionate approach that guides the way we care for every pet.

For me, that means paying attention to body language, respecting boundaries, giving pets the time and space they need, and never forcing interaction simply to get a task done. Whether I’m caring for pets on my own, joining Elizabeth for visits, or taking dogs on adventures, my goal is to help each animal feel safe, comfortable, and understood.

I’m proud to help provide the dependable, thoughtful care our clients expect from Pisgah Pet Care—and I especially enjoy building relationships with the pets who start recognizing us as part of their routine.

When we’re not caring for other people’s pets, you’ll usually find Elizabeth and me hiking with our own dogs, kayaking, traveling, or trying a new restaurant around Asheville.
